Why a Qualified Lead Is Not the Same as an Appointment or Sale

Understand the difference between qualifying inquiries, appointments, customers and revenue before comparing lead-generation commitments.

A marketing promise is easier to evaluate when each outcome has a distinct meaning. A qualified inquiry can be useful without becoming an appointment. An appointment can happen without a purchase. Neither should be reported as revenue before a sale occurs. Ask which outcome the service actually commits to delivering.

A qualified lead establishes a relevant inquiry

A genuine inquiry from someone interested in an agreed service, within the agreed service area, with usable contact information. A booked appointment or completed sale is not required. Spam, duplicates, and vendor solicitations do not count.

An existing customer or older inquiry can count when our campaign generates renewed, qualifying interest—not simply because their name already exists in a database.

This is the definition used for Your Ad Squad’s Qualified Leads Campaign. It requires genuine interest in the agreed service, in the agreed area, with usable contact information. It does not require the person to choose an appointment or accept a quote.

See practical counting examples and exclusions.

An appointment adds a scheduling decision

When a person agrees to a time, there is an appointment. Before that agreement, do not describe an inquiry as booked simply because you could call the person or propose a time.

Some inquiries need a scope answer, availability check or quote before a sensible time can be chosen. An appointment promise would need its own terms. It is not an interchangeable label for the campaign’s qualified-lead commitment.

A sale adds a purchase decision

A prospective customer can inquire or attend an appointment without buying. The final decision may depend on scope, price, timing, capacity and the customer’s needs. Your response and sales process matter after the inquiry arrives.

Keep a lead count separate from customers won, transaction values, revenue and close rate. A campaign that delivers qualifying inquiries has not thereby proved a particular revenue return. No fictional example or career-wide campaign count establishes the current offer’s sales results.

Separate payment, setup and the campaign clock

There are distinct steps even before you review the first campaign lead:

  1. Payment: the actual campaign purchase is verified.
  2. Setup: the necessary service, area, routing information and permissions are reviewed.
  3. Campaign start: the start date and first-month deadline are confirmed in writing.
  4. Delivery: actual qualifying inquiries are reviewed and counted.
  5. Completion: the applicable delivery commitment is met.

The first 30 days begin on the campaign start date we confirm with you in writing after payment and the necessary setup. Your confirmation will state both the start date and the first-month deadline.

A payment receipt or setup-page visit is not a delivered lead. Submitting the setup form does not itself verify payment or start the 30 days. Each genuine purchase is its own campaign, not an automatic reset of a previous campaign.

Read the 10-or-25 commitment without changing the unit

The Your Ad Squad campaign is $250 one time for 10 qualified leads in the first 30 campaign days, without requiring an increase in your advertising budget. If fewer than 10 qualified leads are delivered in that first period, the agency continues at no additional charge until 25 total qualified leads have been delivered.

First-period leads count toward the 25. For example, seven in the first period means eighteen more to reach 25—not three more to reach ten. This is an arithmetic illustration of the commitment, not a customer result.

If at least ten are delivered in the first period, the initial commitment is met. The 25-total continuation is not automatically owed in that case. There is no subscription or automatic renewal, and an additional purchase is not required to receive the continuation when it applies.

Ask the question that matches your buying decision

If you want help generating qualifying inquiries, review the definition, the agreed work and the start rule. If you need a guaranteed number of appointments, sales or dollars, do not assume a qualified-lead promise includes those outcomes. Ask about the difference before deciding.

The full Qualified Leads Campaign page explains the scope, responsibilities and how a questioned inquiry is reviewed. The campaign terms repeat the same definition and commitment. For context, read where we look before prescribing more advertising spend.

Keep the next decision clear

Would you rather have the agency do the work?

The Qualified Leads Campaign is $250 one time for 10 qualified leads in your first 30 campaign days, without requiring an increase in your advertising budget. If we deliver fewer than 10, we continue at no additional charge until 25 total, including leads already delivered. Appointments and sales are different outcomes.
